My Production Role

Last term College Street Normal School (my school) is doing production. The story we are doing is Cinderella and Rockerfella the story is like Cinderella but prince charming becomes a rock star named Rockerfella. Their is a fairy brigade with 2 of my friends in it Dorothy and Maya. My other friend Zahra is playing the ugly step sister and my last friend julliette is playing a clock

 just like me the girls from grill 2.0 have to do a time dance for the production the boys from grill 2.0 room 9 and room 20 have to be a boys volleyball team they have to do a dance for that also. the other classes have different parts in the production. Room 9,20 and grill 2.0 is in the ballroom scene before their dances. There are a a lot of dances and acting in this production the whole school is in the production 600 kids in one production WOW! 

The directer is "drum roll please" ( drum rolling) Miss G . She had to make sure every child has a part in the production, The main leads are Cinderella,Rockerfella (is a rock star formally known prince charming), Buttons (cinderella's best friend) Fairy nasty boots ( an evil fairy), Fairy brigade( a group of fairys trying to earn their wings this will only happen when true love conquers again), Cinders fairy godmother, Danny Denny (Rockerfella's manager) and the ugly stepsisters (trying to get Rockerfella's attention)

The fairy brigade have very silly names they suite their personality 

their names are: Fairy Nuff, Fairy tale, Fairy dust, Fairy lights,Fairy bread and the inter islander fairy

Reem's Holiday Haiku Poem

This is my Holiday Haiku poem 

What you have to do is make the top part of the poem 5 words the middle 7 and the last bit of words 5

it doesn't have to rhyme. When you read it you guess where i am if you don't know i'm at a cinema watching finding dory.

My favourite thing about learning in Grill2.0 is.....

My favourite thing about learning in grill 2.0 is how we have different learning spaces to work in and how we have fast track. So the teacher doesn't tell us OK class we are doing some reading now we don't do that. We just get told okay we are going to do fast track girls go get a device boys go get a device. Everyone logs in and goes into fast track they plan out their day with fast track and teachers plan I like to plan out my day block by block. This term we are having production practises so it sometimes takes away time for fast track. I  like how we use fast track other classes don't have a fast track the teachers would usually write what they have to do every day on the white board we sometimes do learning using a white board but never a day planned on one. You know how I said I like to plan my day block by block,Blocks are different times the first block goes from 9:00 to 10:00 we have an extra 30 minutes until the morning tea bell rings and we get to eat morning tea after morning tea it is the second block I plan it out and do it the second block goes from 11:00 to 12:00 the lunch bell rings everyone will go out to lunch. But on Tuesday we pack up on the second block Tuesday we have sports rotations.  The third block time goes from 1:00 to 2:30. we have different tasks to do I like finishing each task at different times we have different tabs for our learning we have.... Literacy,Maths,Integration,Other. we have 3 other tabs but we just starting using o witch is book clubs Phase 2 inquiry and Maths inquiry. Learning in grill 2.0 makes me feel like i'm in the future. I never get cramps or sore hand I feel great every day learning in grill 2.0 is fun its easy to do work fast track is on computers and I pads some kids have BYOD aka bring your own device learning in grill 2.0 is different to other schools/classes. Its more fun and high tech everyone has a device to use it's always a fun day in grill 2.0

Traditional teaching style

 On Tuesday the 10th of may was TTS (Traditional teaching style) I was walking to class and I saw the whole class at the front of grill 2.0 yelling. A note was on the classroom door saying...... Grill 2.0 class starts in 8:50. I wondered why class was starting on that specific time I looked through the classroom window and saw tables lined up with books on them and names for each seat I saw no devices a globe and math books and dictionary's stacked up on each other.

 Finally the teachers arrived Mr R and Miss G were wearing normal clothes but they made it look old school. we had to line up one girl line one boy line the boys had to silently walk to class we followed silently, We did the roll, after the roll we sang the national anthem Mr R said that if we got cramps or the seat was to small for us they didn't care. We started with dictation Mr R said a word and we write it down. We did a lot of hard learning my seat was shorter than the table so I had a shoulder and hand cramp.

 Eating time miss G said I thought this was over but no it wasn't. Mr R said to get one piece of food from our lunch box I got my potato sticks we had eat at his command Bite he yells Chew bite chew bite chew. Miss G said since we have been very good we get extra rime of scheduled marching and play.

 We marched and Miss G chose who to play with where to play and what to play it was a day of torture after morning tea we went inside the teachers cracked up and told us that it was all a joke it wasn't that fun it thought we did a colour symbol image and write what colour we thought of what symbol we thought of and what image we thought of we had to explain why we thought of the answer we had. It was a really stressful day.

It was a peaceful day in candy land. All the candy people were buzzing about the candy festival. the candy festival is when the candy galaxy flies over candy land and the best bit is when the new planet is born everyone brings a share of food to the festival like lollypops,cake,ice cream those types of sweets. In the afternoon sugar lump invited her friends over chocolate,caramel and flossy they played in her back yard "it would be cool if there where candy super heroes" exclaimed flossy. sugar lump and all her friends talked about super heroes for a while until they heard screams. they looked through the gate. they saw candy people running  into their houses screaming in terror they where running away from the candy witches! "Such cowards" yelled one witch. "No we are not"! screamed flossy "shhhh" whispered sugar lump "no" flossy whispered back. "Hmmm" said a witch surprised  "you're not scared"? says another. The head witch gets her wand out of her pocket she says some magic words flossy turns green "What have you done"?! yells sugar lump. The witches all cackle and disapear flossy turns back to normal all the candy people go outside the candy galaxy started to fly over candy land everyone was happy the witches left in time. the mayor of candy land told all the candy people that if any candy witches or monsters came the magic galaxy will always make them leave in time. so whenever it the time of the candy galaxy on that special day the candy galaxy makes the evil leave.

swimming sports

At the swimming sports i was a non swimmer. I was aloud to swim but i had to go in the lower leisure pool. we did a lot of activities like running in water races or riding a seahorse race (aka noodles race). we also did and ball on our nose race,a board between our legs race, a mini board between our legs race. we had free time twice. After swimming we got changed and watched the higher leveled swimmers swim 

Sign Language- Finger Spelling

A few weeks ago it was Sign Language Week. The teachers wanted us to do an iMovie of our name in sign language it was harder than it looks. I was so confused when i saw the letters for my name. I finally got the hang of it and made the iMovie so here it is.

Tennis

Every Tuesday afternoon we do sports rotation. Tennis is my favorite sport to do. My coach is Gihara she is a very good coach she isn't shy to speak up she taught us good tennis moves. Like forehand and bouncing the ball above the racket and bouncing it under the racket.She also taught us how to hold the racket properly. She is a very friendly coach and its easy to make friends with her. We play tennis in the school quad. I love playing rallies of tennis with my friends. Tennis is a very fun sport its similar to badminton but the racket is shorter and we don't use shuttles.
